In our industry, the question of data security comes up frequently and I wanted to take a moment and let you know how Digital Matrix keeps your customer data safe and secure.
At Digital Matrix, the security of our user's data is our utmost concern. For that reason, the Atlantis system houses each company’s complete data set of tables in completely separated, highly secured directories or sometimes completely separated hard disk drives. There is no physical way to comingle or see another company’s data since all companies are stored separately.
As we add users to the security system, they start out with Zero access capabilities. They can access and see nothing. Only after adding several security codes and structures can a user see a single company.
Because each company is completely separated, there is no physical way that a user can see more than one company's data at one time. It is physically impossible. And, because our security system is so complete, there is no physical way for a user to see any data without us giving them access to see it using our security protocols.
In addition, all data is encrypted to the highest allowable level by the US government. This can range as high as 256 bit military grade encryption. The data you see on your desktop via the Atlantis Direct Mail software system is transmitted and received using this military grade encryption over the world wide web.
It is for this reason that we have been contracted for the last 25 years with the largest Repossession Brokerage company in the entire North American Continent. Our software and systems keep highly classified and confidential customer information secure and safe between hundreds of banking institutions and thousands of repossession agencies across North America. The banks that use our software systems require that we keep their data completely separated and secured and no banking institution can be allowed to see or access another’s data under any circumstances at all.
There is no room for error. It is because we have been successful with the banking institutions of North America, such as Wells Fargo, Citibank, GMAC, and so on, that we can guarantee your data will be secured and kept confidential.
One aspect that makes our systems unique is that while many data service houses use a single SQL table to hold all their clients name and address data, we have found that type of system to be vulnerable to security breaches. The potential for other companies data to become visible is drastically increased by using that single table type of storage system. The advantage to those data service houses that use this method for storage is that they do not need to keep track of all those companies data tables and it makes their job easier.
Not Digital Matrix and Atlantis. No matter what it takes, every company’s data tables are separated and secured to the highest protocols available in the industry.
And, we have not had one single breach of this separation in 25 years.
