Digital Matrix International is pleased to announce the development and testing of our enhanced Japanese Address Standardization process is now complete! We call this process JAST, for Japanese Address Standardization and Transliteration. We will begin implementing JAST into all Japanese merge/purge jobs starting July 1, 2012. We anticipate that this enhanced processing will save our customers thousands in mailing costs by eliminating invalid mailing addresses to Japan and improving the de-duping process. Think about the postage, handling fees, and wasted forms that returned Japanese mail pieces cost your company every month. Due to the additional postal database costs, the cost of this enhanced service will be an additional $3 per 1,000 pieces mailed. Starting July 1st, our base price for Japanese mailings will be $22 per 1,000 pieces mailed. Just think, if this enhanced Japanese Address Standardization prevents just six mail pieces every thousand from being returned, then it will have paid for itself, just in the postage savings alone (based on conservative estimate of $.50 per piece for postage to Japan). If you would like specific examples of the types of Japanese name and address errors that our enhanced processing system has detected and repaired, contact us and we can send you some information. |
